Albert Thieman died from wounds on 25th September,1914, after he had been sent back to a hospital on the coast but as yet there is no further information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd King's Royal Rifle Corps battalion was part of 2 Brigade,1st Division that had landed in France at the start of the war and had been involved in much of the fighting since then, including the Battle of the Aisne in September. |
